Special Needs (SKOR/SOAR)

The S.K.O.R. (Special Kids Organized Recreation) and S.O.A.R. (Special Organized Adult Recreation) programs provide high quality services for individuals with intellectual, physical and/or emotional disabilities. Active involvement and support provides opportunities to increase appropriate social peer interaction, builds self-esteem, promotes physical fitness, teamwork, respect, and most of all…is just plain fun!

The S.K.O.R. and S.O.A.R. programs offer a variety of sport, instructional, social, and summer camp programs.

S.K.O.R. & S.O.A.R. Sports Programs
S.K.O.R. and S.O.A.R. Sports programs are leagues that meet on a weekly basis and provide different levels of instruction. Teams, or groups, are put together by age and ability level to the best of our ability.  Participants will go over the skills and rules, from the very basics to more in depth instruction for each particular sport as well as participating in non-competitive scrimmages..

LTP for Special Olympics New Jersey
Participants, ages 8 and up, will also have the option to compete in a more competitive league by signing up for one of our Travel Teams that participate in Special Olympics New Jersey sport competitions.

S.K.O.R. & S.O.A.R. Instructional Programs
Instructional programs provide a more individualized instruction. These programs focus on personal goals and individual achievement through classes designed and tailored for each member registered.
