Trainings

At the Hamilton Area YMCA we offer both certification and non-certification courses through YMCA, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross.  Please register 2 weeks prior to the start of a class to ensure delivery time for materials.  All certification classes are open to non-members. Certification classes must have a minimum of 3 participants for the class to be held.  Registration may be completed online or in person with Membership Services.  Please refer to the PDF of the brochure (table of contents – Training Programs) for the list of available classes, dates and times.

Please note the following:
•  Participants who are more than 15 minutes late will be denied entry into certification courses.
•  Participants must attend all class sessions.  There are no make-ups and class times cannot be rescheduled.
•  Absence from the class will result in the forfeiting of all fees for that class.
•  Refunds will only be given if class registration is cancelled prior to the start date of the class.
•  Each course dictates in the fees whether or not course manuals and materials are included or if they need to be brought by the participant.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.
